New Recipe

A few weeks ago I tried a new recipe that I found on Pinterest.
http://www.sixsistersstuff.com/2012/02/slow-cooker-three-envelope-pot-roast.html
It turned out to be a good recipe.  We made the sandwiches with it but didn't use the the creamy chipotle sauce.  My husband didn't want to try it.  It even taste better when it had a day to set in the juices.  I have found a few more recipes that I might try from this blog

More Quilts

Sorry it has been a while.  I had a lot of projects given to me to sew.

These blocks connected to the top blocks and made it look like it was linked together.

These blocks were at the top of the rows

These are pictures from the quilt called "Chain Link"  It was the first quilt that I sewed on point.  What that means is the squares are sewed on a Diagonal instead of across the rows.  This quilt was large I had to put table up in my family room to lay it out.

This quilt is called "Go with the Flow"  this one was sewn for a quilting catalog.  The name of the catalog is Keepsake.

I am currently sewing a quilt for our bed since I have a break from work projects.  I finally got my in-laws quilt quilted so know I have to finish sewing the binding on. Yay!!

New bag finished and quilt layout

This is a close up of what the blocks look like. This quilt is going to be called "Diamond in the Rough".

I am currently sewing the blocks together and then I will sew the rows together.

Stephanie is calling this new bag "Half Moon Bay". It turned out nice. I packaged it and a quilt and it is being sent back to the company that provide the fabric so they can display it at their booth at Market. Market is a trade show for all the quilt stores to come and see the new products the vendors have. So I think that is exciting.

I also have two more quilt projects to sew that are going to be new additions to Stephanie's patterns.

I am NOT spoiled

There is no better place to take an afternoon nap than in mom's quilt. Besides I can sleep in my own bed anytime.

This is the first quilt I had made and on cold nights I use it to snuggle up with when I am watching TV. The quilt on the right is a baby quilt that I am trying to finish for my cousin and sometimes Mischief thinks it is fun to lay on when I am sewing the binding on.

Anyone up for a challenge

I have been asked to sew a new quilt and a new bag. The directions are not even written yet. The only thing I have to work with are what you see in the pictures. The top one is for the bag and the bottom one is for the quilt.

I think I got the pieces together right. It was like putting a puzzle together.

A little bragging

In January I went to help at a show in the Ontario convention center. The name of the show was called Road to California. So I took some pictures of the samples I made for my boss that were hanging up in the booth. It was a long weekend I worked from Thursday to Saturday, but it was fun. The name of the bags are Santa Barbara, Sausalito, Oceanside. The Sausalito was the first bag I made and sample for my boss.

The quilts are the A Crooked Mile and A-mazed.

I am still here...

Sorry it has been a while.
The end of last year was crazy. I was given another new quilt to sew with a short time to get it done in and made another bag. The quilt is suppose to have another row at the bottom, but my boss wanted it by a certain date. The name of the quilt A-mazed and the bag's name is Santa Barbara.

I finally got the top done for my father in-laws quilt. I just need to piece the back together and get it quilted. I am also working on a baby quilt for my cousin.

This is the new bag that I made. It was fun to do. The bag has two different printed fabrics, they are the same color and the swirls I made one on the top and one on the bottom. One had the dark fabric on the top with the light one on the bottom and the other side I switched it.

This is one side.

This is the other side.
