New Quilt

A picture of the new quilt

A new project

These are the two different sides after I had quilted around the design

My boss designed a couple new patterns and I was asked to sew one of them. One was a quilt and the other was a new purse. I made the purse, my directions were written on a piece of notebook paper and I had a pencil diagram on how to cut my pieces out. The bag ended turning out real nice. The bag had the same design but done with different fabrics on each side.

project update

I got the blocks sewn together. The quilt has 3 more boarders to go on it. So it is going to be bigger.

Projects lately

I was asked by Darryl's parents to make them a new quilt for their bed. It is exciting to do the only thing is that they have a California King size bed. This is the biggest quilt I will have made. You can see Wickett was helping me lay it out. My pets can be so helpful sometimes. The only problem was I could see what I was doing with him sitting on the squares. The name of this pattern is Hip to be Square.

I was asked by my boss to make a new quilt top for one of her patterns. I had not made this pattern before it was fun to do. The name of the pattern is called A Crooked Mile. She is going to put it up in her booth at the shows she goes to.

Anyone want some help!

I had decided that I would sew a new pair of pants. Mischief decided he would help me. As you can see he was not much help.

Back to being a working woman

Alot has changed this year. I had been trying to figure where I want to go and look for a job. I didn't want to go back to grooming, I miss working with the dogs but I don't miss the headaches around the holidays. It took me a while to really get into the holiday spirit when I quit work. So last week a friend of ours mentioned that his sister was looking for someone to help her at her shop. She need someone to fulfill orders and some bookeeping. She ownes a quilt shop and does mostly shows but need a person look after things while she is gone. I met with her and got hired for the job. It is only part time which is ok. I am so excited.
