Christmas Tree
This has to be the fullest Christmas tree we have had. It is funny how each year we seem to get our trees at different places. Our first year was at Home depot, second Lowe's, we got two from Ralph's and this year we found our tree at Target. This one is so full that you have to walk to the side of the doorway. It is fun having a Christmas tree in the house. Wickett and Mischief do pretty good at avoiding the tree. Every once in a while I'll find Mischief around the bottom of the tree looking at it. He will leave when you tell him to. One day I was talking to my
Vet and she asked if I had a Christmas tree. I said yes, she then precede to tell me that she didn't because of her cat. She told me that one day she was looking at her tree and a branch was drooping. When she got closer she saw two eyes looking back at her. Her cat had climbed up into the tree. That made me wonder if we should but like I said Mischief has been good with the tree.
I can't believe how fast Christmas is coming.

Update
I thought I would take a break from preparing my sharing time. I have had a busy week since we got back. We had our Christmas program for church, the kids did a good. We got back from Utah safely. We had a nice Thanksgiving, it rained most of the day. We went to the St. George Temple to look at the Christmas lights. We also went to Kolob national park and took a drive towards Brian Head and found some snow. We took Wickett with us since my mom went with us, she is a babysitter for Wickett and Mischief when we go somewhere. Darryl's Aunt and cousin watched Mischief. Wickett was not too sure of the snow.

Thankful
This year has brought a lot of things to my mind. Especially with the election and the hateful reactions of those against prop 8. I was beginning to think that in my life I would never find my husband. I was thinking I would be a single woman for the rest of my life. Then I decided to get involved with going to church and met my dear sweet husband. We started out as good friends, then started dating and came to a point were there was more than a friendship. Meeting him has blessed my life so much. He is such a great man. He has all the qualities I was looking for. I didn't get a long real good with my father and other guys were so frustrating. It also frustrates me to think that the gays are trying to destroy marriage and its meaning. How can someone be truly happy with a mate of the same sex, yea there are differences between men and women but they also are what helps us be compatible. We are able to strengthen each others weakness. I am grateful to have the gospel in my life, for my loving husband, for family and friends.
We are going to Utah for Thanksgiving to spend it with my in-laws. It will be nice to get away and to be with family. So I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Primary Sacrament Program
Today was our Primary children presentation. They did such a beautiful job. The Spirit was so strong, that I found myself with tears. Heavenly Father's plan for us is wonderful, all we have to do is follow his commandements and live the gospel in a pleasing manner. I am grateful to be serving in Primary and working with the leaders, teachers and children. It is a pleasure to see them learn and grow in the gospel.
My Prop 8 thoughts
I haven't posted any thoughts about prop 8 because I have been thinking a lot about things. We may have won the passing of prop 8, but the battle is far from over. It saddens me to think that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only one that is being attacked for being in favor. There were several other Churches and people that did not want marriage redefined. Someone shared a letter they got from the No side of prop 8. It stated that prop 8 had nothing to do with religion, that it is a civil issue. I beg to differ. I don't have any kids right now but I have found myself saying that I am glad I don't. I know it makes me sound selfish but I would not want to have my child face today's issues. If Heavenly Father blesses me with a child I would welcome it, but it is so hard to see the things the kids are facing in society today. With that said I found myself thinking that if gay marriage had become legal how would you and could you answer the question where do babies come from? Because you would have to explain their way of having children in their lives. Marriage has a purpose, it is to multiply and replenish the earth and only a man and woman can do that. HELLO! if it wasn't so we would not exist!!! And it is part of God's plan. Society has made it so easy to disregard Morales. I have been also thinking of what people have done with their free agency. If only they could see that the way they are leading their lives, is not great way to go. I am grateful for the gospel in my life and the changes that it has brought in my life. I could not imagine my life without it.

Things I have been doing
I don't even know where to begin.
Church: Our primary program is November 9th so we have begun practicing for that. I got the parts mailed out on General Conference weekend. Last Sunday was the first time we practiced in the chapel. The children did real good. Andrea has taught them the Chorus from "Called to Serve" in Spanish and Chinese. Chinese is a hard one but the kids have learned it really good.
Along with practicing we as a presidency are trying to get activities together for the Halloween Carnival on October 30th.
My husband has started to work on next years directory calendar and I have been helping him with that.
Personally: I started to work on quilts. I took a class for a beginners and it was really fun. So in September there was one for a square in a square. I signed up and didn't have much going on. The class is once a month. So September was not so bad but October was a little crazy.

Here is a picture of some of my squares. The one in the bottom right doesn't have the outer color yet.
And I still scrapbook too! I go to my consultants house to scrapbook. I would like to get to having some at my house again but there seems to be a lot activities planned when I think about it. I'm thinking maybe after the holidays.

Prop 8
It is amazing to the things we are facing today. As a child I never dreamed that when I was an adult I would have to stand up and defend what marriage is and should be.
